The PUBLIC LIBRARY series brings together photographic records of popular culture and subculture that became markers of an era, belonging less to the story of a single artist than to the communities that experienced them. Hence PUBLIC LIBRARY: treated as public records, each project takes its title from its Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) code.

On 19 June 1994, amid celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Iceland, Björk returned to Reykjavík for her first concert there following the launch of her new solo career and the release of Debut. Drawn to the intensity of the young crowd, Sednaoui took his camera and photographed them throughout the concert, capturing the energy moving between the audience and Björk on a night of particular significance for a young generation.
