These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through the SSSSS EDITIONS online store and to your use of this website.
SSSSS EDITIONS is based in Tokyo, Japan and publishes and sells art and photography books.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to offer our books for sale. Purchases made through this website are made directly from SSSSS EDITIONS, not from Shopify.
By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.
1. OUR BOOKS
We make every effort to present our books as accurately as possible, including their descriptions, dimensions, specifications, editions and images.
Please note that colours and the appearance of printed materials may vary slightly from what you see on screen. Minor variations inherent to printing, binding, paper or other production processes are not necessarily considered defects.
Certain books may be produced in limited quantities or limited editions and may become unavailable without notice.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue a title, edition or product at any time.
2. ORDERS
By placing an order, you are offering to purchase the books in your order.
After placing an order, you will receive an electronic confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.
An order is accepted once payment has been successfully processed and the order has been confirmed for fulfilment.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, payment problems, pricing or inventory errors, or where a book is no longer available.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the corresponding amount will be refunded.
Please check your order and shipping information carefully before submitting it. Once an order has entered fulfilment, we may not be able to change or cancel it.
3. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website.
The price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
Shipping charges and any applicable taxes will be shown during checkout where applicable.
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling charges or other fees may be imposed by the destination country. Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping charge and are the responsibility of the recipient.
Payments are processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout.
4. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
SSSSS EDITIONS ships books from Japan to the destinations indicated on our website.
Shipping costs are calculated according to factors such as destination, package size, weight and the shipping service selected.
Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only. International shipments may be affected by customs procedures, carrier delays, local delivery conditions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where tracking is available, tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect address, refused delivery or an unclaimed parcel may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

5. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT BOOKS
We take particular care in the production and shipment of our books.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong book, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@ssssseditions.com, including your order number and photographs showing the issue and packaging where relevant.
We will review the situation and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund or other reasonable solution.
Damage caused solely to external shipping packaging does not constitute damage to the book if the book itself arrives in good condition.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law.
6. RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS
Because many SSSSS EDITIONS publications may be produced in limited quantities, returns and cancellations are subject to our Refund Policy.
Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law, we do not accept returns solely because a customer has changed their mind after an order has been fulfilled.
This does not affect claims relating to books that arrive damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied.

Unless otherwise stated, all content appearing on this website - including photographs, artworks, images, texts, book designs, graphics, videos, logos and other creative material - belongs to SSSSS EDITIONS is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a book does not transfer any copyright, reproduction or other intellectual property rights relating to the book or the works reproduced within it.
